Cupcakes and Rainbows

Happy 11-11-11/Veteran's Day. Today Fara is one year, one month, and one day old... kinda cool. So let's talk about her birthday party last month. Since she was a Care Bear for Halloween we decided to do a Care Bear-themed party at my parents' house in their fancy remodeled kitchen. The day was overcast and rainy... perfect Halloween weather, plus we got to spend the day with Alli and Violet at the pumpkin patch (thanks Alli for the pictures!). Fara loved all the attention and had a bit of a sugar high from her cupcake that resulted in her not going to bed until midnight or so. The child already doesn't sleep much so add a little sugar to the mix and she goes bonkers. But it was still a very enjoyable day! Here are some clips of her night strung together so you can feel like you were there:

And of course, some pictures:
 Pumpkins!

Fara the bully kept stealing Violet's food, but she didn't seem to mind. Violet's good at sharing.

Fara's mini cake.

The big cake and Cheer Bear.

I also made this Rainbow cheesecake but failed to get a picture of it (and it did not look this good, but I was proud of myself for attempting... baby steps people).

 Presents!

Her antique rocking chair passed down from her Great-great-great-great Grandma. Seriously.

 Getting ready.

 "Ooh! Fire!"

 Frosting face.

 "Mmmm, thanks guys!"

Halloween Build-a-bear from Alli, Violet, and Beth. Fara LOVES it.

The best gift of all! Happy birthday silly girl. We love you (that's obvious, right?).
